Winemaker's Tasting Notes
Beautiful red/purple color with aromas of black cherries, dark fruits, dark chocolate and baker’s spice. On the palate, the wine shows dense dark berry and plum flavors along with hints of sandalwood and spice, and even a hint of violets in the finish. Don’t be concerned if you find yourself inhaling deeply from your glass, over and over—it is just your nose’s way of telling you that it wants its fair share!
This is a full-bodied and well-structured wine that is incredibly full of life and born to be enjoyed with food and friends. Goes great with many foods, specially meat, barbecue.
93 Points - James Suckling (2018)
Nice bitter-chocolate and smoky notes, as well as lots of forest berries, make this generous and well structured malbec a rather complex wine. But the supple tannins are already so well integrated that you can enjoy it right away.
91 Points - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate (2018)
My favorite of the Malbecs in 2018 is the 2018 Pizzella Malbec, which is aromatic, floral, varietal and harmonious. It's clean and juicy, with almost unnoticeable tannins and a velvety texture.
