Overview of the Wine
The Antinori family of Florence, one of the world's oldest and most distinguished wine producers, has lived in Tuscany since the 14th century and celebrated its 625th anniversary as wine makers in 2010. The current company president, Marchese Piero Antinori, believes in the tradition that the primary role of wine is to accompany food and enhance the dining experience. In Florence, the Antinori family has led a "Renaissance" in Italian wine making by combining long traditions, a love of authenticity and a dynamic innovative spirit.

Il Bruciato was first produced in 2002 in one of the most difficult vintages ever for the Guado al Tasso estate. The wine is a modern interpretation of Bolgheri’s unique terroir made from carefully selected Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah grapes from Guado al Tasso’s vineyards. The geological composition of the soil is diversified giving the wine structure and complexity.

Grape / Blend
Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah with a small percentage of Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot

Origin
Tuscany, Italy

Winemaker's Tasting Notes
Il Bruciato 2019 is intensely ruby red in color. Its nose expresses notes of small dark fruit, sweet spices and tobacco. Its well-structured palate is harmonious and very pleasant to drink. Freshfruity notes dominate the finish giving the wine a lush, sweet character.

92 Points - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
This popular wine is currently sold out, but because of a shipping mistake I am only able to offer a review now. I have included a preview of the upcoming 2020 vintage to make up for the mistake. The Guado al Tasso 2019 Bolgheri Rosso Il Bruciato boasts generous fruit weight with layers of dark cherry, ripe blackberry, tobacco, spice and baker's chocolate. The tannins are plush and soft, and ultimately, it is the supple mouthfeel that gives this wine its mass appeal and exceedingly easy-drinking personality
