Hayfork Wine Co., Field Select Cabernet Sauvignon, St. Helena, California, 2019
Overview of the Wine
We strongly believe that the hands of the farmer in the field lay the foundation necessary to produce a quality wine. And we are proud to be part of a family whose past is deeply rooted in the soils of our land and valley.
Our farming heritage runs deep, as my great-great-great-grandfather, John Lewelling, a horticulturist by trade, settled the St. Helena family ranch in 1864. Whether growing walnuts, prunes, pears or grapes, we have been continuously farming our land for six generations.

Winemaker's Notes
Stalwart tannins and dark fruit build a lasting finish on this lustrous wine, our more concentrated Cabernet.
92 Points - Wine Enthusiast
The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Field Select is composed of 88% Cabernet Sauvignon and 12% Petit Verdot. Deep garnet-purple in color, it has a wonderfully perfumed nose of violets and black cherries, plus hints of dried mint, dark chocolate and clove oil. Full-bodied, the palate is densely laden with black fruits and minty layers, framed by firm, grainy tannins, finishing long and earthy.
